Another Nice Day for a Walk

After lunch we set off up the Hatton flight again, we got as far as lock 37 this time, 5 more locks than last time 3 weeks ago. Next time we will takes some money with us and have a cuppa at the café.

    Seven years ago, when we lived on our boat, we travelled up the Hatton flight in a day with some hire-boaters.
    When we came back down a few weeks later, we stopped twice and at the bottom another hire-boater boasted 'We made it in 3 hours!'
    We replied it had taken us 3 days - great times!!

    Best I have ever done the flight in is 1hr 30mins back in the early 1970's.
