Braunston Top Lock to Braunston Turn, 1.8 miles 6 locks

We had a pleasant trip down Braunston locks this morning sharing with a lovely couple on nb Destiny, we all had a good laugh at the antics of the boats coming up the locks.

Welford Wharf to Crick, 11.5 miles 1 lock.

Pleasant enough day today,  few spits of rain but nothing to write home about.

This little fellow did't even blink as we passed by, they usually disappear in the hedge as we approach.

Foxton Locks to Welford Junction, 7.1 miles no locks 1 tunnel.

After an amazing family reunion for us at the Foxton Locks Festival, and helping to clear the site yesterday, we set off this morning, having been at Foxton locks for 12 days, nice to be moving again.

After they finished lunch they set off for Crick.

T'other Side of Bridge 60.

This afternoon we moved through Bridge 60 and winded at the inclined plane arm, reversed back to a water point, topped up the tank, then returned to our allocated mooring lock side of Bridge 60 ready for the Foxton Locks Festival.

Welford to Foxton Locks, 8.4 miles 1 lock

Jo busy painting gunnels yesterday.

The newly painted bow and on of the four new anodes fitted. The last four have lasted 12 years.

All finished.

Approaching Husbands Bosworth tunnel, we met one boat in the tunnel so took of some more new blacking.

Welford Junction to Welford Dry Dock, 1.4 miles 1 lock

This  morning we moved up the Welford Arm.

We were soon in the dry dock with the water being pumped out.

Once the water was wade-able Les jet washed the grime off.

This is the 1st time I haven't done it myself. Les is also going to do the blacking for us, again the 1st we have never done it ourselves.

Top of Foxton Locks to Welford Junction, 7 miles no locks

This morning Jo applied a 2nd coat of paint to the roof, hatches and bow. We were expecting a food delivery at the road junction between 3:00pm and 4:00pm, good thing were arrived there early as he arrived at 2:40pm!

We then moved odd in the dry, but on the other side of Husbands Bosworth tunnel it was raining.

Clarke's Bridge to Bridge 60 Top of Foxton Locks, 1.52 miles, 10 locks 2 swing-bridges

Earlyish start this morning for 1st locking up Foxton locks.

Quick hop back to Market Harborough, chilly start but warmed up by the time we go to Union Wharf.

We said farewell to Welford this morning amidst warm sunshine.

Having winded me moored temporarily on the service mooring awaiting other boats to move from our allocated slot for the weekend.

Temporarily moored on our allocated slot, awaiting Cepheus to arrive as they are mooring against the bank and we will moor alongside them.

This afternoon Cepheus arrived and slipped inside us, so we are now both safely moored up for the weekends celebration of the 50th anniversary of the restoration of the Welford Arm.
