Lived on-board Hadar

Foxton to Market Harborough.

We have returned to the towpath just outside Union Wharf, Market Harborough, having cruised the 4.8 miles, in 2hrs. Whilst Keith went off to try and get our trolley tyres fixed, I went and did some Veg and Fruit shopping. We will be here for a couple of days, as we have appointment to keep.

Hi you two - hope the 'winter season' has started well. A sudden coolness of a morning will no doubt keep you busy with work :-)
I'm hanging around Aylesbury for a week or two. You're right about draught though, I doubt Hadar would have made it through one long pound where we were slowly churning mud, afraid we would be stranded mid-canal! Come to think of it, that would have been an interesting 'conversation': who has to wade to the bank! ;-)

Hi Carrie, good to hear from you. yes trade is slowly picking up, people are starting to need coal. I will have to try the Aylesbury Arm, if only to have to get BW out to get us through the shallow bits! Mind you next spring I am fitting a new prop to Hadar, so should make our dredging (getting through shallow water) a lot easier!
