Nelson's Wharf to Black Country Living Museum

A short run today into the Black Country Living Museum, Dudley where we will stay for the weekend and get to meet up with some more of our friends here that we didn't see today. They have been very busy building here since 2020, when Covid kicked off, lots of new building work completed, and still under construction. See captions for details.

¾ mile no locks in 25mins. what3words ///ranks.sake.link

Approaching Owen Street bridge

Tipton green

Entering the Dudley tunnel arm at Tipton junction

The Black Country Living Museum is in sight

Approaching the museum basin junction

Winding in the museum basin junction

Reversed back and moored near the Dudley Canal and Tunnel Trust

One advantage of getting here early in the season and on a weekday is there are few visitors around to spoil photos, but it is school children day today

The new 'Elephant & Castle' pub from Wolverhampton

It looks really good

Inside looks good too

We just had to have a pint each of Banks's Mild

Some of the new 1940's/50's60's street still to be finished

The cream coloured cottages on the right are the iron cottages that have been moved from further up the site, the new building on the left still being worked on is the new industrial section

The new entrance building, with Jo chatting to Sarah

Sarah is on bus clippie duties today

The new entrance building as seen from the path from the new car park

The other end of the 1940's/50's60's street still under construction, but coming along nicely

Nice spot to just sit and contemplate

Dan the horse on carriage duties this afternoon
