We left Bugsworth basins this morning with blue skies and the sun shining brightly.
The views across the Goyt valley from the canal are amazing.
Approaching New Mills, where we moored up.
Jo prepared a packed lunch and we set off for a walk through the Torrs Riverside Park. We started from the canal to head towards the town.
We came across this sun dial which indicates the the seasons.
A marshy bit.
The railway viaduct.
The River Goyt.
Underneath the railway viaduct.
The double arched road bridge in New Mills.
Today the Torrs Hydro was working and putting out 50kW as shown on the meter.
We then walked up the Sett Valley trail to here, where we turned back to return to New Mills for our picnic lunch.
After lunch we walked along the Millennium Walkway and then up to the railway station, before walking around the shops then heading back to the canal.
