A decent day for heading onto the River Weaver, weather-wise. We moved off from our mooring at Marbury Park, and stopped at the Sanitary Station, before heading for the Anderton Boat Lift.
We managed to get a temporary mooring in front of Swallow and Buckden. We were to share the lift with Buckden.
Thea and Saturn move off the holding moorings to go down the lift before us.
Hadar moored on the holding moorings awaiting our time slot.
Buckden soon joined us.
Turning into the lift entrance.
Waiting to enter the caisson.
Good view of the river whilst waiting.

John alongside on Buckden.
And me!
Passing the other caisson going up as we went down.
Buckden leaving.

Chasing Buckden up the River Weaver towards Northwich.
We arrived at the festival site, the Northwich Marine moorings, in between the 2 swing bridges, and awaited Thea and Saturn to finish at the Sanitary station to take their positions, before we could take our mooring spaces. Buckden is on the bankside, and whilst we were up in the town shopping, Sweden has joined us along our other side. We now await the remaining boats to make their way here and to fill up the moorings. Jo and I had a good walk up through the town to get our bearings, and to do some shopping. I even managed to pick up a replacement Nintendo DS for £29.99 at Cash Generator having dropped mine too many times, and the last time it had died completely. We will have plenty of time during the rest of this week to explore Northwich more, and take lots more photos, that’s in between helping to set up of course.
Keith.
