7.85 miles, 23 locks, 7hrs 5mins.
A very cold day, but at least it was dry and the sun did try to come out, occasionally.
The new cricket pavilion at Two Waters, Hemel Hempstead, which was being built 2 years ago. The office block in the background is the Kodak building.
These geese cannot read, obviously!
Winkwell swingbridge.
This class 77 engine was powering with it’s load up the slope of the Chiltern Hills.
The Rising Sun, Berkhamsted.
The Port of Berkhamsted building, a fascinating structure.
Francis Egerton of Berkhamsted, the canal Duke, apparently.
We shared all the locks today with Andrew on his narrowboat Boudica, and a pleasure it was too, together we managed to do in 1 day what we had planned to do in 2 days!

Hello,
Glad you're slightly ahead of schedule and it is heartening to know that I wasn't holding you up. Good luck on your onward journey.
Andy on Boudica
PS. Fantastic looking (and sounding) boat, I'm jealous :)
Not at all Andy you helped us a great deal, always makes it easier when sharing locks. You helped us do in one day what we would have done in 2 on our own.
