6.8 miles, 14 locks, 5hrs 25mins.
A dull day, but dry and reasonably warm, but with rain moving in from the west a good mooring is needed for tonight.
Leaving Kilby Bridge services having taken on water, emptied the toilet and dumped rubbish. We had locked down 4 locks with nb Mallard, but they stopped at Kilby.
The tranquil back waters of Leicester. We had sort of planned to get to King’s lock, but not being sure if there would be room to moor, and having found this stretch of piling with deep water, below Gee’s lock, we moored up here, ready to drop down onto the River Soar tomorrow morning.
Keith.

Let us know how Leicester was please. The last time we went through the locks were sooooo bad and the soar going through the center was filthy. Have a good trip.
Locks were a little bit like hard work, river was ok though. A very pleasant trip in all.
