New Curtains

Jo has been busy today making new curtains for the boatmans cabin. She found a set of curtains in a charity shop for £3.50 and there is enough material to do 2 sets of cabin curtains.

These will be our winter curtains, without the lace edging, Jo will make a summer pair with the lace edging. Leaving the edging off the winter curtains will stop the lace turning black from the coal stove.

And very nice they look too. Makes the place look cosy, warm and homely.
Have fun at The Village at War. We are due to see our son that weekend in Milton Keynes so you never know, you may have a surprise visit.

Hello Courtney, my wife Jo has been searching for the right pattern for 5 years, and found them recently in a charity shop, even better that they are made from an old pair of house curtains, proper curtain material, and from the feel of them very expensive material, fully lined, headed and with proper tie backs. There is enough material left over to make a second pair, and cost us £3.50, bargain of the decade!
