Ellesmere Port to The Cheshire Cat, Christleton

Cheshire Cat

A dull damp start this morning even saw us having some hail, albeit not for very long and only very small bits. But as the day wore on the clouds rolled away and the sun shone brightly.

Quite a few boating friends have recommended it so we are going to try it out. Nb “River Phantom” has carried on, and we said our farewells, it definitely makes life a lot easier to share locks on this canal.

You should have a good meal at the Cheshire Cat. My sister lives near Chester and we've visited the pub (by car not boat, unfortunately!) and it was very nice.

Keith,
I too recommend the Cheshire Cat. Can get a tad busy but the wait is well worth it, good value too

We went in just after 6:00pm and were served straight away, and very nice it was too. :-))
