The lock keeper arrive early so we were actually able to se off down through Frankton locks at 11:50am. First stop was the sanitary station at the very short remains of the Weston branch.
Perry aqueduct, it was near here that the canal breeched in 1936 and forced the closure of the canal in 1944.
Rednall Basin.
I managed not to sink the canoe full of children as we approached Queen’s Head.
