Day in Harborough

Yesterday Jo and I caught the bus from Foxton to Market Harborough. We alighted at St. Lukes Hospital and walked down to Union Wharf to pick up our post, which considering how long we have been away was not very much which is great for when we install our post box and start using it. We caught up with Debbie and all her news.

We then walked down to the town and called into Appliance Corner and spoke to Ian, mainly about chest freezers. We then carried on to HFM studios to take the presenters some doughnuts to celebrate their having received a 5 year extension to their broadcast licence, which is great news. Whilst their we were telling them about the water shortage in the reservoirs and they were really interested in this and I did a short interview with Nick Shaw who presents the news, which is being broadcast today in their hourly news.

After this it was lunch time so we headed to one of our 2 favourite Indian Restaurants, Shagorika and we had yet another superb lunch there.

After we stocked up on medicines and vegetables we caught the bus back to Hadar, and then spent a while chatting to Heather & Tony on The Fudge Boat, who are also now moored here ready for the Foxton Locks Festival.
