Sunny Days

Today was a really pleasant day, and from the photos below all was tranquil for Hadar moored in the sunshine this morning.

I managed to catch Jo busy painting the front deck hatch. Earlier I had used the wire brush attachment on my electric drill on the stern deck, something we have been wanting to do this summer, and today’s weather was ideal, as was the mooring, remote and very little footfall passing us. Once I had finished, Jo then painted it, along with some of the roof, the bow deck and the portside gunwale. Once Jo gets a paintbrush on her hand there is no stopping her!

it's been awhile. How are you two doing? We have been dodging hurricane Irene here in the NOrth East. She got downgraded to Tropical Storm status before she reached us, thank heavens. Steadfast is having her bright work stripped down to raw wood as we speak/write. I am sooooo glad I am not doing it myself this time! Hurrah for Jo doing a good job!

Hello Rosemary, glad you managed to survive Irene. We are both fine, we just desperately need lots of rain, it is becoming critical with many restrictions on moving through locks in the Midlands. We are very close to some canals here being closed due to lack of water, a problem you do not have to face!
