Ellesmere to New Marton Bottom Lock

Warm sunny and no wind again this morning. A short run to avoid the heat of the afternoon, but did use the facilities at Ellesmere yard 1st thing. Now moored below New Marton bottom lock.

 6½ miles no locks in 2hrs 30mins. what3words ///slugs.walnuts.hurls 😊

Never knew slugs could hurl walnuts πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚

Leaving Ellesmere yard having topped up the water tank, and used the facilities

I managed to photograph this heron, which is not easy to do as they usually fly away when we get near

Frankton junction and the start of the Montgomery canal, we may go down it on our return this way

Now moored in the sunshine below New Marton bottom lock (can be seen in the distance)
