Despite the warm sunshine yesterday we still had a frost overnight, but it soon disappeared with this mornings sunshine.
The Cheshire hills are very beautiful.
This is Beeston Iron lock, the sides are unusually constructed from iron panels, which was used due to the nature of the sandy ground at the site.
The ruins of Beeston Castle look very precarious perched on the hilltop, but you do get a good view of it from the canal as you pass by.
This is a new marina which has been built since our last visit 6 years ago.
These two donkeys were sheltering in the shade.
The final run into Chester is very contrasting. This is approaching Hoole Lane Lock, the last one before entering the city. There was a vacant mooring at the Tesco moorings before Cow Bridge, so we pulled in and moored up. We had a late lunch, then a quick walk into the city to get our bearings. Tomorrow is market day, so we just have to find it, it must be somewhere in the city.
Keith.
