Sims Bridge to Sharpness

Last night we walked to the River to see the Severn Bore. We did have a good view of the sunset as we awaited the Bore.

Unfortunately it wasn't a very large Bore and has not shown up very well in the photos I took.

This morning we set off for our last trip down the G&S. The crane which was used at Rea Bridge is now at Parkend Bridge.

Now moored near Sharpness.

We dragged this huge tarpaulin out of the canal, which has drifted, in the wind, from the docks, we have inform CRT.

Gloucester Docks to Sims Bridge

Gloucester Docks at night, I took this last night.

Following a rough night with the wind coming up the docks creating waves crashing into Hadar side on, neither of us got a lot of sleep but a lot of cups of tea in bed!

Was a bit tricky getting away from the pontoon this morning, as the wind was pinning us against it, but Jo held the bow line around the cleat on the pontoon whilst I drove the stern against the wind with the engine.

Now moored at Sims Bridge.

Seller's Bridge to Gloucester Docks

This morning we moved up to the Baker's Quay visitor mooring for a brief stop to do a food shop at Aldi.

As there was plenty of room in the docks we then through Llanthony bascule bridge and into the Docks.

Now moored on the visitor moorings near the lock.
