Titford Pumphouse to Oozzels Street loop 8.2 miles 9 locks

Having spent a few pleasant days at the Titford Pumphouse, we set off down the Oldbury lock with much appreciated help from Phil.

Turning into Ladywell junction onto the Oozells Street loop.

Black Country Living Museum to Tiford Pumphouse 3.9 miles 6 locks.

Did a food shop before setting off for Titford.
1st sighting of the M5.

Work still progressing on the viaduct, approaching Oldbury junction.


Turning into the Titford canal at Oldbury junction.


Halfway up the 6 locks we came across a dry pound, so had to do run some water down to get through the successive pounds and locks.
Top lock in sight, but more water needed!

Minerva Wharf to Black Country Living Museum 11 miles 22 locks.

New waters this morning, completing the Digbeth branch up the Ashted locks to Aston junction and the Birmingham & Fazeley, then main line to Gower branch, Wolverhampton level, to Black Country Living Museum.

Black Boy, Knowle, to Catherine de Barnes, 5 locks, 3.9 miles.

Windy journey this morning up through Knowles locks to Catherine de Barnes.

Same low pound as when we came down in 2016.
