A Walk from Crickheath to Llanymynech

This morning Jo and I set off to walk the dry section of canal from Crickheath to Llanymynech on what was going to be a warm sunny day. As we set off work parties were just starting to work on restoring the dry walling at Crickheath. 11 years ago we walked as far as Pant and the lime kilns, so was nice to get further this year. Especially as we neared Llanymynech and the isolated in-water section. A distance of just over 2 miles to link the isolated section to the present terminus at Crickheath. It was interesting watching them reconstructing the dry stone walls. A lot of photos today, but so worth it. 😊

As we started our walk, volunteers were arriving to work on the canal
