Gunthorpe to Newark

12.68 miles, 3 locks, 4hrs 30mins.

We had a lovely weekend moored on the pontoon moorings at Gunthorpe for the weekend. We eat out Saturday night at the Unicorn Hotel and very nice it was too.

Definitely on the warm side today, heading towards hot by the time we got to Newark.

We shared Town lock with Crane No.13 on its way to do some maintenance work at Cromwell lock.

We initially moored beyond Trent Bridge, but decided that getting Paddy on and off was going to be difficult so we returned to opposite Newark Castle where it will be easier.
