Taking a break.

Good morning.

We are having a 3 week break from selling coal etc, because I have been told to rest my shoulder. I saw the GP this morning and have been told I have adhesive capsulitis or the beginnings of a frozen shoulder to you and me. I am now on Diclofenic anti-inflammatories to see if they will calm the pain down. So with Keith going into hospital on Thursday as well, we have decided to take the boards down for the time being.
Between you and me Keith and I are falling apart ha ha ha. It must be something to do with getting older. Geesh I have only just turned 48 and feel 98 today. Still I will do as the GP says and hope that my shoulder will be back to normal again after the 3 weeks, otherwise it may mean a steriod injection Ouch.

Hi Jo and Keith,

We know all about getting older; amazing how aches and pains can break out so quickly.

Have a nice break and hope you both benefit from your treatment.

I don't know if this would help you with your shoulder but try using a TENS machine.( In some cases, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) with a small battery-operated unit may be used to reduce pain by blocking nerve impulses).I think Boots sell them.
Take care both.

Sorry to hear about your shoulder, hope it feels better soon. Enjoy your rest! Your right about the age thing though, I have been to the doctors more times since I turned 50, than I have ever been!

Take Care.

Good morning. Thank you for your messages.

I think my shoulder problem has been coming on for years. Thats what happens when you abuse your body when your younger. I had years of lifting bales and cattle food. But it also seems that women between the age of 40 to 60 are more likely to get this problem, so maybe it has nothing to do with my body abuse hahaha.
Dave I have tried a tens machine before, for something different and it did nothing for me, but thanks for the advice.
If I am like this at 48, what will I be like at 50 lol. Just have to listen to my body more. Between Keith and I we are falling apart. Still there are people far worse off than us, and so I keep smiling and plodding on. I will enjoy the rest and it will give me the time to take care of Keith after his procedures on Thursday.
Have a good day everyone. Jo
